Setting up new APN settings isn’t particularly common so the area we need to work on is buried a little deeper in the handset than other settings.
Starting from your homescreen:
Go to the main menu/applications list.Now we need to create a new data connection. To do this, press the Menu key and select New APN. You are now presented with a range of fields in which you can fill in the details for your mobile network data connection. Complete the fields in the list with the data below:
Press Settings.
Select Wireless and networks or More settings
Press Mobile networks.
Check Use PacketData/Mobile Data to ensure this is ticked
Tap Access Point Names
Adding the settings to the handset
Name - o2 mobile webRight, it’s time to save the settings and check they’re ready to go. Press the Menu key and tap Save to store the new data connection on your handset. Press the field next to the new o2 mobile web option you’ve created to activate the data connection – you should see a green dot or tick appear next to it to show it’s enabled and ready to go.

Proxy, Port - Please leave blank
Username - o2web (PAYG - payandgo)
Password - password
Server - Please leave blank

That’s it, you're set up and activated. Press the Home key to return to your home screen and give the browser a test to see if everything’s up and running, you should be able to load a web page if things have been set up correctly.

Setting up new APN settings isn’t particularly common so the area we need to work on is buried a little deeper in the handset than other settings.
Tap on Menu and head for Settings. Select Configuration from the menu and the Personal Settings. Selecting the Add option will give us the template we need to insert the range of settings required to get our handset on the net.

Inserting the Settings
Internet

Tap Account Name, enter o2 mobile web then tap OK
Tap Homepage, enter http://m.google.com then tap OK
Tap Use pref. acc. pt., tap No
Tap Acc. point sett.
Tap Proxy, tap Enable
Tap Proxy address, enter 193.113.200.195 and tap OK
Tap Proxy port, enter 8080 and tap OK
Tap Bearer settings
Tap Pack. data acc. pt., enter mobile.o2.co.uk (PAYG- payandgo.o2.co.uk) and tap OK
Skip past Network type this should be set to IPv4
Skip past Authentication type, this should be set as Normal
Tap Username, enter o2web (PAYG - payandgo) and tap OK
Tap Password, enter password then tap OK, verify with password once more and tap OK
Tap Back three times
Press and hold your finger on the o2 mobile web name and select Activate
Tap Back
Tap Def. config. sett. then tap Personal config
Tap Back twice to return to the main menu.
That process should have you up and running on your mobile internet connection now, open up the browser and test a couple of web pages to check it out!

To get our template to add the settings in tap Add (if there are accounts set up press Options, then tap Add new). Now that we have our fields ready for some settings, follow the steps below to setup MMS.

Tap Multimedia msg.Hey presto, that’s Multimedia Messaging all setup and ready to go. We would encourage you to give it a test by sending a contact a picture from your handset but please bear in mind there will likely be a charge for this service so please check with your network first.
Tap Account Name, enter o2 MMS then tap OK
Tap Server address, enter http://mmsc.mms.o2.co.uk:8002 then tap OK
Tap Use pref. acc. pt., tap No
Tap Acc. point sett.
Tap Proxy, tap Enable
